it's been over a year since this website has seen any kind of update. things have been sluggish. some of the scheduled releases for this year have been delayed for various reasons, some have fallen through the cracks, and some have died altogether, etc. - out of sight, out of mind. a few p.e. mafia related projects have managed to materialize over the past months that went unreported. demonologists contributed "these drugs aren't working" (tolerance is high mix), a reworking of the rape-x track "these drugs aren't working" to the rape x / p.e. mafia release, "kidnapping: the material of rape-x reconstructed", which also features reworked rape-x tracks by the likes of power monster, black mayonnaise, swollen organs, and more. also, the p.e. mafia gang unleashed the charles manson tribute cassette, v/a: helter skelter: noise interpretations of the music of charles manson, via the pet goat records. demonologists tackled the track "look at your game girl". this collection also features tracks from gnawed, rape-x, etc.

Cory Rowell (a.k.a. Demonologists) states, “I originally met and started talking to Mitch Massie after the two of us created videos for Retox right around the same time, roughly a year and a half ago. I was immediately blown away by his video work. I found it to be visually stunning and I immediately took note. I was an instant fan. After seeing the Retox video for A Bastard on Father’s Day, I contacted him and told him how much I enjoyed his work, and we started talking off and on about music. He later invited me to be a part of the Cattle Decapitation video for Forced Gender Reassignment, and then the Secret Fun Club video for Kathleen Turner Overdrive. Shortly after that, I started talking to Mitch about doing something with Demonologists. The concept for Graveyard Ejaculations didn’t exactly happen over night, but evolved into what it is now over a period of time. Ultimately, I knew that it had to be cult based, carry an anti-religion based theme, and have the blood soaked quality of a top notch horror film, and I knew that Mitch would really be able to dig into these themes, and make this happen, and he most certainly did. After a few phone calls and emails, Mitch presented me with the storyline that would become the video for Graveyard Ejaculations. This is cult life, the black mass. Along with the help of horror makeup/special effects team, Megan Leavitt and Al Ponton, and the incredible, abused cast of Brett Siler, Christine Murphy, Jesse Gallamore, and Lydia Thornton, Mitch Massie has worked his cinematic magic yet again and created this horror fueled trip through the eyes of the possessed.”

i recently made an appearance in the cattle decapitation video for “forced gender reassignment”, directed and produced by mitch massie.

mitch massie and cattle decapitation raised the bar and set the new standard with this production… this is by far the most brutal and fucked up music video to date. nothing else compares.

the clock is forever winding down and there's nothing you can do about it. easy come, easy go.

it's kind of hard to believe that january has already passed us by, and now here we are, already halfway through february. where has all the time gone? i feel like i'm living in the twilight zone. a bleak future indeed.

2012 is looking to be the busiest year yet for demonologists, and i couldn't be more thrilled with the way things are going, and being that it's friday the 13th, i couldn't think of a better day to announce some upcoming releases i'll be doing with the brisbane, australia based, death loving label, fall of nature.

demonologists is currently working on several new recordings for fall of nature, including material for a split cassette with ryan oppermann's creepy death ambient / death industrial project, neuntoter der plage.

also on the horizon is a yet to be titled 4 way split cd, detailing the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse, with demonologists in the role of war. steel hook prostheses, defiler, and gruntsplatter are also set to be featured...

FAMILIAR DISSOLVED... THE END OF 2011.

i'd like to take this time to let everyone know that dustin redington and i have decided to part ways and will no longer be working together as demonologists. i'd like to thank dustin for his commitment over the past few years, we had a lot of fun working together, but that time has now run it's course. there's no bad blood between the two of us, and i wish him well with his new endeavors. dustin is now heading up a new project called crown of bone, which has upcoming split releases with josh lay, aderlating, developer, utarm, and several others already lined up for 2012... and i will be continuing demonologists on my own, just as the project originally started out in 2006.

2012 will also start off with some of the last demonologists releases to feature dustin, including a split lp with gnaw their tongues on desire records, a 1 sided lp from prison tatt, a split cassette with hhl, and a track on a compilation cassette from worthless recordings...
